A teenage Little Mix fan broke down in tears after tickets booked 12 months ago were cancelled by popular ticket website Viagogo – just DAYS before the concert.
John Dowell, 47, spent £461 on five tickets, plus a whopping £131 booking fee for a Little Mix concert at the ECHO Arena on Wednesday November 1.
Having booked the tickets over 12 months ago as a Christmas present for his Little Mix- mad daughters, the dad-of-three last week began to get anxious when his tickets still hadn’t arrived.
After several e-mails back and forth to Viagogo, who sold the tickets, he was disappointed to hear that they had in fact been cancelled and that he would get a refund ‘within 10 days’.
The Lydiate business owner told the ECHO: “This company has had my money for literally over 12 months. They’re not cheap, but they’re good seats so I knew they wouldn’t be cheap.
“My daughter got really impatient for the tickets and when I started e-mailing them they said they would be sent up to three days before the concert.
“I was in a meeting on Monday and got an automatic e-mail to say they were refunding me and that my tickets weren’t available.”
After hearing that the tickets would not be arriving, John had to break the news to his 16-year-old daughter Hannah, the biggest Little Mix fan of the group, while she was out shopping for an outfit for the concert.
